Evan Glodell’s Bellflower

Bellflower

Writer, director, producer, editor, and lead actor Even Glodell has fashioned a love letter to those on the fringe planning for the Apocalypse with his debut film, Bellflower.  A kind of slacker homage to Lord Humongous from Mad Max: The Road Warrior, Glodell built his own digital camera, the Coatwolf Model II, to capture the specific smudge-grunge-tilt-shift world of Bellflower.  The resulting thesis is a manifesto on the dangers of post-Empire misogyny, where love is doomed and the end of the world has happened but we just don’t yet know it.
